PSA operates under the direction of professional soccer player and coach Richard Costanzo.
Here at the Pittsburgh Soccer Academy we want to give soccer players the opportunity to reach their full potential. We strive to push our players so that they are able to reach their own personal goals. We aim to give hungry players the opportunity to get the advanced training that they are unable to achieve on their own, or from their club teams. Our staff has played soccer at the highest levels and we are eager to pass this information on to many other ambitious and determined soccer players. And lastly, if you are a determined PSA player we will do whatever it takes to help you succeed. One of our strong suits is our unique networking ability which is based on a long list of useful connections within the soccer world. We take pride in getting our players the proper exposure needed to reach the goals they are working towards.
Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.
The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses – behind the lines, in the gym and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.

When working with a small group of players, more complex technical drills can be implemented into the session. During these sessions we will simulate game-like situations so that each participant can become a more complete player on the field. Training in a group is an indispensable part of player development. As always, each session is planned out well in advanced and tailored specifically for each group of players.
Private team sessions are organized specifically to the needs of the team. In private team training we can focus on the technical, physical, and mental components, as well as the tactical aspect of the game. We will makes sure to spend extra time in areas where the team is lacking, to make sure every one is on the same page. When conducting a private team training session, we will work on more complex drills in order to naturally improve each players soccer IQ’s. We are able to incorporate advanced possession drills, movement off the ball concepts, and attacking/defending as a group, etc. And finally, we are able to help players understand their roles within different soccer formations.
